Biography

Mina Maleki joined 91传媒's College of Engineering & Science as an assistant professor in 2019. Beforehand, she was a sessional instructor at the University of Windsor, a part-time instructor at St. Clair College and a SOSCIP TalentEdge postdoctoral research fellow at the Cross-Border Institute (CBI) at the University of Windsor. 

Maleki’s current research interests are mainly focused on machine learning and pattern recognition, bioinformatics, text and big data mining. Since 2004, she has been involved in many IT and research projects related to employing machine learning approaches in different areas, including text mining, real time locating system, bioinformatics and transportation.

Maleki has an outstanding academic background and was awarded as “honor student” in her bachelor and master’s programs. She finished her Ph.D. studies with a GPA of A+ in three years. She was recognized as a distinguished researcher among women in the area of information and communications technology in 2010. Since 2014, she has been awarded multiple research grants, including SOSCIP TalentEdge.
