91传媒’s 2022-23 academic year officially began Tuesday with the annual President's Convocation on the McNichols Campus.

Nearly 500 members of faculty, staff and administrators from all of the University's campuses joined both in-person at the Student Fitness Center, as well as virtually to formally open the new academic year.

President Donald B. Taylor presented his vision for 91传媒 during his first State of the University address. Attendees were also given reports from the vice presidents for Academic Affairs, Finance & Administration, Enrollment & Student Affairs and University Advancement on updates and initiatives under way across the institution.

Following the updates, the Agere ex Missione (Living out the Mission) award presentation honored clinical associate professor at the School of Dentistry; Lara Wasner, director of Language and Cultural Training, Study Abroad Coordinator and Fulbright Student Advisor; and Tonisha Williams, clinical staff assistant, Law Clinics, for their outstanding work.

Professor Andrea Kwasky, College of Health Professions & McAuley School of Nursing, was also recognized for Faculty Excellence, and Mara Livezey, assistant professor of Biochemistry, was honored with the Faculty Achievement award.

The event concluded with lunch in the Fountain Lounge, where the more than 130 new colleagues were able to share a meal, enjoy games and introduce themselves to the 91传媒 community.
